It is ok to cry!

We post our broad smiles on Social media. We post our beautiful clothes on social media. But we keep our sadness to ourselves. “How could we not when everybody seems so perfect on social media,” Sylvia asked. (A sentence from the book, Tame The Mind )
It is ok to distract ourselves from the present moment but it is also ok to cry. The human mind is not wired to stay positive all the time. Staying positive in these times of covid and even during normal times is an effort; sometimes mastered with time. It is ok to share the pain, to be vulnerable.
When we share pain, we lighten our hearts
When we share pain, we create deeper friendships.
When we share pain, we let others know that we are human. For we humans are emotional beings. And it is ok to cry. But it is not ok to wallow in self-pity.
